Picnic lunch

Today mom and dad brought Kirby to see Sus-nanna Rose and me at the hospital. I waited for them at the elevators. I saw him walking down the hall holding 2 matchbox cars in one hand and deda's in the other. I couldn't wait to get my arms around him and my soul sang with joy when I saw his eyes light up when he saw me.

Mom packed a yummy picnic lunch. We all ate in the hospital room. Kirby ate in the Riley wagon. He spotted it immediately and climbed right in. He is such a silly, happy boy. It pleases me that despite my heartache for my daughter and for missing him, he can still giggle and play. Despite his distance from me right now, he is still my happy boy. I wish we adults had the innocence of the children in our lives. I wish that despite all that is going in right now I could just giggle and play and twirl around like a tornado till I fell to the ground. I'm so grateful for the hour or so that I had with him. I've been a bit sad since he left but it was just the medicine I needed to lift my spirits and remind me that I can still be AND should be silly and giggle. Love you, my sweet boy.
