My nieces and nephew have a little song they used to sing about Kirby, and it has totally stuck with us. AND it has worked because he sure can spell his name!!! Anytime you ask Kirby to spell his name, he sings this song. I wonder if he thinks the end of it is actually part of him name.
Lately, I'm wracking my brain to come up with ideas to keep myself out of the tent or the great valley or off the train tracks. I know, bad mommy!!! But my imagination is nowhere near as imaginative as Kirby's, and I don't know how much my back can take of crawling around like a dinosaur. So my non-crafty self has even been busting out the crafts to keep us occupied.
We've made a pumpkin. He shocked me that he did every bit of his himself after watching me do mine, and despite copying me, his looked much more like a pumpkin than mine.
Then we made a tree out of his hand. He shocked me extra when he wrote his name at the top. When did he learn that???? (Might need a little help on the Y!!)
Such a proud boy!!! Oh and don't three days of preschool make a boy look ages older!!!???!? Or is it just me??
Oh, K-i-r-b-y, you ARE "our guy"!!!
ReplyDeleteLook at how you've grown! I love your tree and your dinosaurs on the sidewalk, and I love that you tricked us all and wrote your name all by yourself!
I miss you all, and Deda and I hope to see you and Susanna Rose soon.
MarySusanne, you are such a wonderful mom! I love that you never stay home, that you pack 'em up and go out for so many excursions with your two.
Love you and miss you, Mom
