Grandparent-palooza

This last week Mimi and Deda came to our house and headed back home with a little visitor. Kirby went to spend the week with both sets of grandparents. 

Grandparent-palooza!!!!  

He had a blast and did some really fun things with some really awesome grandparents!!!  Thank you all for a break I really needed and some quality time with ole #2.  The grandparents were so generous with their time and energy and careful with my "special cargo!!"

My only concerns about his travels without me were the long drives with someone else besides Keith or I behind the wheel and that he might get realy sad during bedtime routines. All went well, and I received reports each day that he hadn't shed a tear, and he even survived a FaceTime phone call with me, which I was certain would make him so sad. Perhaps I'm not as fabulous as I thought I was!!! 

Cracker Barrel pancake dinner with Mimi and Deda during a very long drive home full of construction and rain. What a trooper he AND Mimi and Deda were. 

Here's Kirby practicing his bedside manner at the museum.  They followed up the museum with a visit at Christian's house where I hear they were working on their dance moves. Then they headed to Gigi's and back to Mimi and dedas to celebrate Mimi's birthday. Wheeeewww. Just typing all that makes me tired. 

He rode a scooter to Mimi and deda's park and played at the playground and in the muddy creek. 

On Friday, the grandmas made a Kirby swap. Time for a big weekend with memaw and pepaw. 

Memaw and pepaw took Kirby to see Thomas. Twoey, cole and Isaac, and aunt sue and Joey went too. The boys had a blast, and according to Kirby, Thomas even talked. 

That night all the big kid cousins came to memaw and pepaws for pizza dinner and in with Kirby. My heart was overjoyed that he got to spend so much time with cousins that we don't see neat enough!!!

I'm already looking forward to next year'a trip....there is a next year, right???
