Oktoberfest

Last week Keith was on vacation.  We spent a few days at home visiting the pumpkin patch, going to story time at the library, working in the yard, and finishing our "honey-do" list.  I love when Keith's on vacation!

The Stoney Creek pumpkin patch was a blast and an annual tradition we can't wait to keep up.  We visited the animals at the petting zoo.

While Keith got our pumpkin, Kirby ran up and down this hill to and from the tractor, shouting "WEEeeeeeeee!"

We goofed around riding the rides they offered and enjoying a lunch complete with pumpkin pie.  What a fun day!

Kirby rode the pumpkin train.  The start-up of the diesel tractor did not make him very happy! 

Then we headed south for a well-needed trip home to visit parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents.  We traveled with a very excited little boy who couldn't bare to sleep because there were cousins and "choo-choos" to play with.  He has been catching up on his sleep ever since we got home.

We went to visit Gigi.  He immediately climbed up in her lap and rode all the way from her room to the dining hall for our visit.  Then he showed off for Gigi, running around and jumping and talking with her.

We went to Mimi and Deda's house and played hard at the park!  He loved the slides and swings - "Weeee-goooooo!"

We finished the weekend in Dickson, TN, at Keith's Aunt Sue and Uncle Wayne's for the Burns annual Oktoberfest weekend complete with lots of food, a Vandy football game for Keith, a late night hayride, tractors, 4-wheelers (which Kirby did NOT like), slides, and good time with good family.

This picture just about sums it up.  Kirby followed Joey's every move!  He loved playing with all of Joey's trains.
