We're headed to Indianapolis

National Match Day for residency assignments was Thursday, 3/17/2011.  What a huge relief to have that day behind us and know that Keith has matched as a general surgeon at Indianapolis.  Keith is so excited to be back in the land of his college buddies and thrilled to be at this program.  Orientation begins June 26, 2011, and July 2 will be the first day of work!  Wow.

Keith, I am so proud of the work you have done in the past 6 years - the work you did to apply to medical school and the effort you put into your studies at QCOM.  You are about to live your dream, scalpel in hand.  God is good.  He has blessed you with talents and given you the opportunity to use these talents to the best of your abilities and for the good of others.  The next five years excite and scare me, all the same.  I look forward to continuing this journey with YOU.  May you excel in the next 5 years as well as you did here at Quillen.  Love you, Dr. Hubband.

Now let the house-hunting begin and bury St. Joseph head-down so the condo will sell!

Anticipation was HIGH as we waited for them to distributed the "envelopes."

Reading his placement.

It is OFFICIAL.  Indiana-bound.  General Surgery.

Kirby slept through the whole festivities.

Thank you to my good friend, Sarah Neil, who offered to watch Kirby between a feedings so I could go join the celebratory fun.  Kirby did well and so did Momma!   :)  Thank you, SN!
