Well, I've read about it and heard about it, and what they say is true. Your baby goes through a growth spurt around three weeks, and they just can't be pleased and can't get enough to eat. Yup, it is true. I'm no doctor, but I'm willing to bet that starting Saturday and possibly through yesterday, Kirby was going through his first little growth spurt. We spent Saturday with a feisty little fellow about every hour and a half! Wowsers. He was hungry around the clock, and man was he fussy around the clock, which just isn't very typical of our little happy baby. I kept asking, "Where's my happy baby...what have you done with him?". BUT it looks like we have survived, and I'm excited to go to his next doctor's visit to determine how much growing he did. As far as I'm concerned and based on the amount he ate, I'm thinking he'll be giant-sized! Man am I in for it in a few because I hear the six week growth spurt is even bigger and badder...YIKES!
On Sunday afternoon, Mimi and Deda arrived. They will be here through Thursday AM, when they are headed east to see the Trailov Trio as they call my brother's three children. They are in grandparent HEAVEN, and I'm in new momma heaven. They have been soooo helpful. Yesterday we had our real estate agent scheduled to take pictures of the house and get the sign in the yard in preps for selling our condo. Mom was amazing helping Keith and me tidy up the house and even putting together a new entertainment center for the downstairs - that's right everyone, we have rolled out the gargantuan 60" TV and are going to put it to rest! Dad was a huge help with a little booger who didn't want to take naps anywhere except in some one's arms. AND THEN we were treated to a DEEEEE-licious meal ala Mimi, complete with dessert and a beer. YUM. What a treat, and this was just day 1. Keith and I are toying with leaving them with a bottle on Wednesday night and going to dinner - just the two of us. Can we do it? I'm thinking I might have a breakdown when they leave!!! Such great help and such wonderful company. Love you guys.
You two should go to dinner! Mom and Dad will enjoy the evening more than you and Keith!
ReplyDeleteTell Mom to not get all of her cooking out of her system. We may need your services here in Charlotte.....
