Date Night

No,  I'm not talking about that silly movie with Steve Carrell.  I'm talking about Keith and Mary's date night last night.  You see, Keith and I have been together for almost thirteen years now, married for seven of those years, and as much as I have always loved a special evening out with my husband, I can't remember the last time I had such anticipation surrounding dinner with Keith.  Perhaps I was excited to eat some sushi since it has almost been a year since I ate it, or perhaps it is just because the love I have for him has grown even more since Kirby's arrival.  It was a great night.  We left Kirby at home with Mom and Dad and a bottle and headed to eat some sushi.  We walked into the restaurant, and the first thing I said after seeing the dim lighting was, "I just might fall asleep under this dim lighting."  Hahaha.  Spoken like a new mom, huh?  We had a great evening, talking about our son, our move to Indianapolis, and just laughing and enjoying being together.  It was just what the doctor ordered.  We even went and met some buddies at a bar for a drink and then headed home to find Kirby sweetly sleeping on his Deda's shoulder.  I think my brother was right when he said that we should definitely go out to eat because "Mom and Dad might enjoy it more than Keith and I do."  I can't imagine that they enjoyed the evening more than Keith and I did because it was a fabulous night, but I think they came pretty darn close!!!  Thanks, Mimi and Deda.  We love you.

Baby sitting for Kirby was very easy since he slept on my chest for the majority of the time that we kept him. I know that I enjoyed that probably more then he did. what a great memory from when Michael and you did the same thing years ago.

    Love,

    Dad/Deda
