SURPRISE!!!

This past weekend was the annual Burns Oktoberfest.  Keith and I haven't been in over 4 years, and we really wanted to go this year.  Sooooo....somehow Keith managed to get the weekend off, and we headed to Dickson, TN to surprise Grandma and Grandpa and spend some well-needed family time around the campfire.  Boy, did the weekend not disappoint.  Thank you, Aunt Sue and Uncle Wayne, for such an awesome weekend.  It was the just the dose of medicine these two home-bodies needed. 

The boys took on a friendly game of cornhole, and Kirby could not get enough of it.  He thought it was so stinkin' funny, and in-turn he wound up being so stinkin' funny and cute.  Check it out.  Crackin' up at Cornhole

I believe in my last post I mentioned how close small fry was to crawling.  Well, I guess I wasn't using the right ammo to lure him on the move.  Aunt Kelly knew just what he needed to entice him to make his first moves.  Why do children LUUUUUV cell phones?  On the move

Kirby enjoyed a little bit of what we Burns do best - seasonal celebration, including a little costume-wearing fun and mask and pumpkin painting; good company; campfire sittin', which is what this Momma does best; and snuggles with Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Grandmas and Grandpas...a certain Mimi and Deda also came to visit.  What an awesome trip!!!  This little boy does not lack for love.  We are truly blessed to be surrounded by such amazing family and L.O.V.E.

Aunt Sue told me that the kids would be painting masks and pumpkins.  I teased that we would need edible paint for Kirby b/c everything goes into his mouth.  Well, what does one of the world's greatest Aunts do?  She researches and makes edible paint for her nephew.  Here is he hammering out his first artwork...a natural just like his dad.

What's in store for next weekend??????  Fort Wright, KY, here we come to crash the Gray get together and visit with cousins, Lucy, Emilia, and Christian and the whole Gray gang.  We can't wait.
