Today was a big day for Kirby...he ate his first serving of cereal. I have to admit, I've been so excited for this milestone, but part of me wanted to cry because my little boy is getting bigger every day. Some days it is harder to see just how much bigger he has gotten, but on days like today, I can SEE him get bigger before my very eyes. I find it difficult that I want so much for my baby and so much of what I want for him requires him to grow up, but at the same time, I long for him to remain that small little being that melted into my skin when I held him close. Now he is becoming an independent little boy who often pushes away from my skin when I want to hold him close. Goodness, you would think he is going to kindergarten based on my words or moving off to college. Oh my gosh. Someday he will have to go to kindergarten. Shut up. Someday he'll go to college???!?!?!?
Well, here's the first bite and then bites to follow. I'm not sure...does he like sitting in his big boy chair and eating like we big kids do? What do you think? (please excuse all the baby talk...haha)

I have replayed and replayed these clips and I love them more and more every time I watch him smack those little lips. I think he actually was thinking about taking that spoon right out of your hand and feed himself.
