Breakfast with Santa

Sunday we had breakfast with Santa at church. Kirby waited so patiently as we all finished our breakfast. He just looked longingly at that empty Santa seat. 

We ate breakfast with Fr. Rowland who was showing us his pic of sitting on Santas lap and telling us of his wishes of peace on earth. He asked each of the kids if they were going to sit on Santa's lap. Susanna Rose told him NO without hesitation. She had him laughing for sure. Susanna rose clung tightly to me in line and wanted nothing to do with the big man. 

She acted shy and had nothing to say to him. Kirby was as happy as he could be. 

But she did warm up to him...

...especially when she heard about the candy cane.

It's always a good idea to get the kids all hopped up on syrup and candy canes moments before mass. (Insert eye roll!!!)
