Reading Corner

I love that my babies love books.  We often will just sit in the middle of a pile of books - me reading to them and they reading to themselves.  Susanna Rose has just begun to "read" books.  She flips each pages and points to things as she speaks jibberish as though telling a story for every page.  And Kirby has most of his books memorized by page, and can tell these stories almost verbatim page by page, more often than not using the same inflection in his voice as Keith or I do.  It warms my heart to catch moments like this.

 

These are some of my favorite moments.  They are just sitting quietly wrapped up in a story.  I had to take advantage of this quiet time and change some sheets!  Then later in the morning, I found this sweetness.  And my favorite part of this picture are those sweet little piggies.  

She took a small break from her pages to give me a big "cheese." 

And while this next picture has NOTHING to do with reading books, I can't resist sharing a pic of this girl, her toy car, her sippy cup, and her fancy boots.  She's got places to go.  And suddenly she doesn't look like a baby any more these days.  She looks like a little girl.  When did this happen?  I guess in the past 18 months.
