Trick or treat

Man. Based on our Halloween excitement, I have a feeling that holidays around our house are really gonna be exciting. And.I.Can't.Wait!!!!

All the excitement began with a Halloween themed episode of his favorite show, The Little Einsteins. It was full of costumes, ghosts, pumpkins, treats, and even a Halloween party!party!party!!!!!!  He loved this episode, and we wore it out. He got into wearing his bats tee shirt and pumpkins and skeletons tee shirt. He was quite the festive little guy all month. Then we started getting Halloween books drum the library. We read and read, and he even mastered a spooky laugh. He loved driving in the neighborhood looking for ghosts and pumpkins and other Halloween decorations. We went to the pumpkin patch again this year to pick out  our perfect pumpkin and ride the hayride and pumpkin tractor. What a fun tradition we have started. So he really seemed to get the holiday. I asked him what he wanted to be, and (shocker!!!!), he said Thomas so we went to a Halloween store to pick out a costume. This place was totally overpriced. We saw three dufferent Thomas costumes, and he picked out the one he liked the best. I had him try it because I was worried it would be too big. He put it over his head, looked in the mirror and smiled so big and gasped, "I yuuuuv it!!!"  Ummm, how could I not walk out of that store without that costume no matter the cost???  We went to a Halloween costume party at our YMCA (do I mention enough how much I love that place!!!!!!). This party was complete with a costume contest, a haunted house, a hayride, s'mores, Gigi's cupcakes, face painting, and more.

We carved our pumpkin on halloween night, since trick or treating was postponed due to bad weather, and watched "It's the great pumpkin, Charlie Brown".

Finally, we trick or treated with "my friend, jack jack."  The boys had so much fun and brought home a lot of loot. Susanna Rose was less than impressed with the holiday and her horsey costume for that matter.

And all this excitement over just Halloween. Can you imagine what all the other holidays will bring????  I say let the fun begin!!!!!

The excitement that the children show is what makes the holiday so special. It will not be long before Susanna Rose exhibits her excitement.
