2 month

Last Thursday was Susanna Rose's 2-month doctor's visit. I felt confident that she has put on a lot of weight due to her flabulous fat rolls (yay!), but I did still have a little anxiety about whether she was progressing good with her weight. Boy did her chubby thighs give it away because she weighed in at 10 lbs 13.6 oz. and measured in 65 percentile, which is a 5 point jump from her one-month appt. yay big girl. She received a good bill of health including her little 18% head, 82 percentile length, and all her smiles and coo's (so cute!!!).  Dr. Champley  did mention that if her congestion doesn't clear up in the upcoming week or two with the help of flushing her nose with some saline that he might want to do another swallow study to make sure she is eating properly. I'm hopeful to see the saline do its trick.

Poor little lady had to get 2 shots and take one oral vaccine, which she did her best to try to spit out. I know the alternative of not getting a vaccination (I.e., getting one of those nasty diseases) is way worse than the shots themselves, but it still breaks a mom's heart. She was so cute and smiling and flirting with the nurses.  They both were saying they didn't want to give her the shots because she was just so happy and cute. Man did she take a complete 180. Sad face!!!!!

I'm glad to know that she is making progress with her weight gain. Now if she would stop with even the occasional pukes and stretch out a long night stretch of sleep. Right now she tends to give me 2 5-hr stretches on a good night. Not bad. Not bad. But momma is tired.

Kirby has been so good. I have drug him all over the place. Last week we went to my ob appt where I even sat in the waiting room to nurse her, and he waited patiently and so well-behaved the whole time eating gold fish and looking at the fishies in the fish tank. Today he snacked and played with the toys he packed in his little bag throughout the entire appt including time to nurse her after her shots. He certainly makes it easier on mom!!!!  I took him to get a treat for his good behavior.  We went to DQ for lunch and ice cream. He had his first ice cream cone and loved it!!!

I'm a grateful momma for a healthy baby girl and for a "good yistener" boy.

All smiles

Snoozing through our DQ treat.
