SMILES

This is no fool's joke, but on 4/1/2011, my Kirby gave me smiles... LOTS of smiles!!! We were thinking he was giving us smiles in response to stimuli, but we weren't really sure, and then he really started pouring it on!!  Smiles and more smiles to help us be certain that he really was smiling AT us.  Yay.  What a reward after the difficult first weeks of a newborn...making it ALLLLLL worth it!  Thank you, sweet Kirby, for your sweet smiles.  Check 'em out:

Last week Mimi and Deda were here to visit and help us.  Man, did they help us, and MAN, did we eat well!  Thanks, guys!  We miss you terribly and look forward to seeing you again.  If you can't tell from these pics, Kirby loves his Mimi and Deda.
Kirby LOVED sleeping on Deda's chest!!!
Mimi, you're so comfy!!!
Kirby is progressing so well and really adding so much joy to our lives.  He is SUCH a good baby - typically only fussy if he is hungry or has a tummy ache.  He really does roll well with the punches thus far!  He sleeps well at night in his crib even treating us to a 4 or 5 hour stretch every now and again.  Beginning last week, he decided he'd start taking a long nap during the day in his crib, which I must admit, this OCD little momma was getting a little concerned about and iss glad to see him responding well to napping in his crib.  The rest of the day, he plays on his floor gym, sits up in his boppy so I can read to him or talk/sing to him, and a LOT of the time, he sits in my arms, and sometimes we just look at each other.  It is all starting to click, and this is the stay-at-home motherhood about which I had romanticized for years.  Check out these precious pictures of our sweet 4-week old...soon to be 5 weeks old TOMORROW.  Holy cow.  Pics of our 5 week fun to come soon!

No caption necessary on this one.  SOOOO cute!

  5. He just makes me smile. I have shown this video to everyone here at work - they are getting sick of me - but they all have to admit he is adorable. What a sweet smile. And his little "OOOOO'S"! Just too precious. Can't wait until Easter so we can snuggle!
