I get to hear the heartbeat at every appointment!!!???!?!??!!

I had a prenatal appointment today.  Tinkle in the cup, blood pressure, prick of the finger, step on the scale, and "do you have any concerns."  I thought it was all wrapped up until the doctor asked me to hop up on the table, and she whipped out that amazing device I didn't expect to see today.  YAY!!!  I got to hear the heartbeat again today.  When I expressed that I didn't expect to hear the heartbeat today, she told me they would listen to it at every appointment.  WHAT???  I get to hear that amazing sound at every appointment?  What a blessing!!!!!  I heard that fabulous whooshing noise at a strong 150 rate.  I love it, and I will look forward to every appointment to hear that noise.  In fact, that noise will even make stepping on the scale every appointment worth it.

I scheduled  my next appointment in 4 weeks, and better yet I scheduled my biggy ultrasound in 3 weeks.  Fortunately, the scheduling of these next 2 appointments falls on Keith's two weeks at home between away rotations.  YAY!!!  Now, for those of you who do not know, we are leaving the gender of this little bundle of joy a surprise so that big news won't come in three weeks, but rather it will come in 23 weeks on Baby Hollister's arrival.
