Finally we had done snow. I tried to keep the blinds drawn to keep the kids from seeing it until after mass, but....Kirby came running down the stairs shouting that it has snowed last night. Apparently he looks out his window every morning looking for it. They begged and begged to go out before mass. Somehow they managed to wait until we went for donuts and mass. We came straight home to clean up toys and get ALLLLLL our snow gear on. They had sooo much fun. We went to our hill to do some sledding. I said it last year, and I'll say it again, but I think I might have had more fun than the kids did. One sled run was a Kirby sandwich. I was on my belly, Kirby on top of me, and Susanna rose on top of him. We were fast and all tumbled off on top of each other full of giggles. So.Much.Fun!!!!!! Kirby had a blast digging in the snow with his excavator. Susanna Rose just crawled around on her hands and knees and loved the "tracks" she was making in the snow.
And of course we enjoyed lost snow hot chocolate and cookies. Happy little faces.
I tried my best at making a fire. Fail. But snuggles and blankets on the couch with movies were a huge hit. Awesome snow day.
Oh. And I did my best at an Elsa inspired braid today. A for effort at least.
