Susanna Rose had her 15-month check up yesterday. She was given a good bill of health, and she has finally broken the 20 pound mark. She is in the teen percentiles for her head and weight, and in the 30s for her height. She is a tiny little thing. But oh so spunky and fun.
She giggles all the time now. I never thought I would be saying that about her. She was such a grumpy little baby. Now, she just wants to be on the go all the time and chatters and chatters and chatters. She still loves to be held and is pretty content in my arms or on my hip. And she is really beginning to talk. I remember thinking that Kirby was so advanced with his language and saying so much. I was beginning to think that she wasn't talking as much as Kirby had so I started making a little list of all the things she was saying, and within a few weeks, I was added a couple works almost every day. She is beginning to hear something and then spit it right back at ya. Here are a few things:

She appears to be showing interest in Minnie Mouse. She loves all of Kirby's planes, cars, trucks, and trains. She still puts EVERYTHING in her mouth. EVERYTHING. She loves Happy and you know it, Old McDonald, Twinkle Twinkle. She is mesmerized by the Little Einsteins. She won't keep anything in her hair. At all. She can give a kiss and a hug if you ask. They are the sweetest hugs and kisses. She loves her pacis, and it is so cute and pitiful when she says bye bye to them and puts them back in her crib. She is a little bookworm just like Kirby. Sometimes I can find her in a sea of books, just turning page after page. She blows kisses and plays peek-a-boo. She loves to eat. She is one of the messiest little eaters I have ever seen. I still haven't braved giving her a spoon and/or fork. She just picks up food with them and flings it all around. She She loves the bath and runs up the stairs and down the hall and tries to climb on in at just the mere mention of it. She has just learned to go down the stairs on her belly. She loves now to go up and down and up and down. She wants to do everything big brother is doing. She is really quite sturdy on her feet and quite agile. She tries to climb on just about everything...way more than I ever remember Kirby doing. And when it is time to go to bed, she will let you know. She'll head to the stairs and say, Night night. She doesn't mess around with her bedtime. She gets compliments all the time on her pretty little blue eyes - grown men, young men, grandmas, and kids alike.
She's a keeper, that little Sunannie Rosie.
