LOVE-LOVE
I have a new little tennis buddy. Yesterday, I broke my "no TV turned on while Kirby is awake" rule because I selfishly wanted to watch what wound up being Andy Roddick's last career match. I must say, I think he liked it, and he has quite the enthusiasm for the sport, or perhaps it was just enthusiasm for the big box on the wall being turned ON for a change.
With every shot that sped over the net, Kirby shouted, "Whoa, Whoa Whoa ball." And when the ball was hit into the net, he would say, "NOOoooooooo!" When they would run to a shot out wide, he would say, "Doh Doh Doh" (translation: Go Go Go in Kirby speak). And of course, when the crowd cheered, he would cheer with them, big applause and "Yaaaayyyyyy." Honestly, he was more entertaining than even the great Andy Roddick and Del Potro. Perhaps I should share tennis more with this little ace!

ReplyDeleteNext thing you will know is that he will be watching tennis with his Deda, eating Mickey's Mix, and drinking beer. I will look forward to that. I imagine in twenty years when Kirby is old enough to legally drink, and I will be 86, this will happen.
