So much has happened in a month. So many wonderful things.
Kirby is continuing to learn more and more. He'll point to objects in books when you ask him where they are - the moon, the broom, and the tree in
Snowmen at Night; the puppy in his
Biscuit book; Thomas in his
Thomas the Train book; and even Elmo in his Sesame Street books. He dances when he plays music. He gets so excited when I run the bathwater. He says
"Night Night", and the cutest is "Night Night, Dada!" He even will walk to his crib and say "Night Night." Sometimes those two words can make him cry, too. You know, if he's not quite ready to go to sleep. ;) He is saying "Baby" now. I'm not quite sure where that comes from! He will squeeze my nose when I ask him, "Where is Momma's nose," and he squeezes as hard as he can until I stick my tongue out. He thinks that is hysterical, and I guess he thinks that squeezing my nose causes my tongue to stick out. Funny. He has also begun to show a little aggression. I hate to use that word because it just sounds so grown up and not so innocent, but he will screeeeeeech when he doesn't get his way or even push me or slam his head against something...just to prove his point. Whoa.
We have pretty much celebrated the arrival of Easter all month. We started with our Church's Easter Egg Hunt put on by my MOMS group. It was a chilly morning filled with a visit from the Easter Bunny, a firetruck, and of course eggs, eggs, and more eggs!
He liked the firetruck.

| Look at all those eggs! |
We've had a lot of visitors in the past month too!
On Holy Thursday, April 5, 2012, I was received into the Catholic Church. This has been a decision a long-time in the making, and I'm so blessed to have had the support of my close friends, my loving and understanding parents, and my in-laws and my brother and his family who came to join us. It was a gift to see their faces in the crowd and to have little Emilia sit so well-behaved in my lap through the whole mass. I have never felt the true presence of Christ as I did when I shared in the Eucharist that night. It truly was amazing and a gift from God, himself. And wow! I get to experience that presence of Christ with every Eucharist to come in my life. And even better, I will be sharing this faith and teaching the love of Christ to my son.
Easter week was filled with lots of play with cousins and Grandma and Grandpa. We.....
| Ran races. I'm pretty sure Quillen enjoyed this the most. |
| Dunked.... |
| And dunked. |
| And even had a visit from some little chicks. |
| That would be "No NO" from Christian to the chick. |
| We climbed trees. |
| We played in the dirt. |
| We climbed a mountain. |
We went on wagon rides.
After everyone left, and our house was empty, when I would go to get Kirby from his crib, he would look over my shoulder anticipating a playful cousin or a snuggly grandma awaiting him. He was sad that we were just back to me and him! :) Thank you all for making Easter even more special! We miss you all so much.

| Kirby's very own bubble-blowing lawn-mower |
| He loved moving candies into the egg and out of the egg and back in and back out again |
| Lovin' his lawn mower. It doesn't support him just yet which made him sad at first until he figured out his own way to make it go! Mowin'! |
The Easter Bunny sent us on an Easter Egg Hunt up the stairs. We found candy and coins and even a few paper bills for our piggy bank! Wahooooo!
| Sharing a laugh with Dada. |
| First Kit Kat...big hit and BIG MESS! |
