Sooo big

My lil' Kirby is getting so big, already, just like everyone told me he would!  He'll be 15 weeks tomorrow, and he's just growing like crazy.  I weighed him the other day, and he was almost 15 pounds and 25" long.  I thought that car seat was getting heavy!  He even has chubby little ankles.  Yup, he has cankles just like I did towards the end of my pregnancy.  They are the cutest cankles ever....his, of course, not mine!  Mine are gone.  Thank God.

He has really begun to do some fun stuff.  He is reaching for things in front of him - a hand, a toy, a book - and putting them straight into his mouth.  I propped him up today in his exersaucer, and he looked so excited about all the fun things he could put in his mouth.

What a BIG boy playing with his new toy.
He loves to sit in his bumbo and loves to watch Quillen's every move.  He laughs at that silly dog almost as much as he laughs at his father.  I get sweet smiles from him all the time, but I cannot make that boy laugh like his father can.  He can just hear Keith's voice without seeing him, and he begins to smile and then it turns into a laugh.

I'm pretty sure Keith was saying something to him to elicit this response.

Hands in mouth.  Isn't that where all hands belong?
He likes to take walks with me and Quillen.  He keeps his little legs running the whole time.  He's pretty cool!

Ready to pound the pavement with Mom.
He has begun to make more noises and really seems to like the sound of his own voice.  He's begun to gurgle and just today, I think I heard a few ptttthhhhhh pttthhhhh (don't know how to indicate that sweet noise in writing).

We have visitors the next two weekends, and boy are we excited.  Mimi and Deda are coming this weekend and then Grandma and Grandpa will be here the next.  We'll have lots of pictures to share after those visits.
