January Showers bring....????

I've always heard that April Showers bring May Flowers.  Seems like January Showers bring March babies, and more importantly, my March baby.

In the middle of January, Keith and I hopped in the car AGAIN (last car trip, I might add, before Baby Hollister's arrival) and headed to Nashville.  Keith's family hosted a wonderful shower to celebrate the arrival of Baby Hollister.  It was so great to see familiar faces that I hadn't seen in a while, and of course, it was fun to ooohhhh and awwwwwhhhhh at all the sweet, cute baby paraphernalia.  Thank you all for your support and love for this baby who is so lucky to be entering into such an amazing group of family and friends.  God blessed with me an amazing husband who has a most fabulous family.  God is good in so many ways in my life.  Love you all.

Juju and Mimi...2 of Baby Hollister's future Best Friends :)
After the shower, we went to see our niece, Leighton, in a basketball game.  Man, that was fun!  We miss being home and catching the kids in all their activities, and we were so grateful to catch this one!  She scored a few extra points just for us!!!  :)  Later that night, all the nieces/nephews and aunts/uncles played a few mean games of cranium.  I hum a mean version of "Walk this Way"!  We had such a GREAT weekend.  Just think, the next time you all see us, we will be three and not two.

The following week, my dear friend from church, Sarah Neil, hosted a joint shower for me and my other dear friend at church, Laura Beth, who is due about a week before me.  It has been great to have a close friend with whom to share this journey and experience.  We've attended birthing classes together as well as parenting and nursing classes, and I have a feeling there will be some "play dates" in the near future.  Sarah Neil, thank you for opening your beautiful home to our friends and family and for your love of Babies Hollister and Davidson.  :)  And to the amazing women of St. John's who came to celebrate the arrivals of these babies, thank you!  Thank you for your excitement for Keith and me and the arrival of this baby.  Thank you most especially for giving me your hearts and being my family away from home during our time in Johnson City.  I have been blessed to have crossed paths with you all, and I will always remember this leg of my spiritual journey and the impact each of you has had on my life and heart.  Hugs.

Yum!  Everything was sooo beautiful and delicious.  Thank you, Sarah Neil.

  1. It was a wonderful day at the Hollisters shower and you were beaming with excitement!

"Thank you" to all at St.John's who have made our daughter's past (almost) four years so blessed. I know that she and Keith have good friends who care for them.

It won't be long, Mary Susanne and Keith! You will soon be a party of three. Love you dearly,

  2. MSTH:

As Mom posted earlier, it was a wonderfull weekend for so many reasons. First, I was able to see Keith and you which is always great. Second, I was able to see Keith's family which I agree is a wonderfull family to be a part of. Third, I was able to spend some time with the Hollister and Burns men having lunch, watching a ballgame, and talking while the ladies of the family were showering Baby Holli and you.

The next time I see y'all, there will be three! I can hardly wait!
