Sooo long paci!

Keith and I were just talking today about how we needed to be done with the paci. Susanna Rose is now three and sucks hard on that paci every night and would every minute of every day if she could. Tonight she couldn't find her beloved paci, and even though I knew of another one hanging out downstairs, I helped calm her down over her loss. She cried and cried. And I'm not talking her typical throwing a fit cry. She was genuinely sad and was weeping, and it broke my heart. She sat and listened to me, tears streaming down her face, tell her about when I lost my blankie. She paused for a moment and tried hard to talk through her tears and asked, "and you were sad???"  I can sympathize, sweet girl. I can sympathize. So she and have a date tomorrow to get her a new lovey to replace her beloved paci. She and I rocked and rocked tonight tonight and I held her tight.
