All aboard

Last night Kirby and I snuggled up on the couch together with a bowl of popcorn and the Polar Express. The movie was probably a little intense and over his head, but I'm thinking he didn't notice anything but the train and Santa Claus. He was hooked and every now and again would say Chooo Chooooo!!!!  When he saw the big Christmas tree in the center of town, his eyes lit up and he gasped, "ooooooohhhhhhhh!!!!"  He loved it. 

Today was St. Nicholas Day, and he came to see us. 

We celebrated with goodies in our shoes. Kirby found a sucker and an ornament in each of their shoes and The Polar Express for us to read. He was so excited!!!  All he wanted to do was play with his train ornament. He thought it was a toy...no convincing him that it was an ornament and not a toy!!

The magic of this season is honestly so moving, and I'm enjoying every second of it.
